Pretty much what you'd expect from a SHAFT adaptation of the Negima franchise. In a good way. Lots of pretty colors, chupacabras, head tilting, and sharp, almost surreal wit. While this particular adaptation focuses almost entirely on comedy, there's some decent action and a passable storyline. And of course plenty of what the Negima franchise is built on: the girls.

Well, this one is certainly better than the original adaptation. It's absolutely ridiculous though, and definitely carries that Shinbo/SHAFT flavor to it. If you have more of a taste for extremely random humor, this may be up your alley. If you're looking for an actual adaptation of the manga series, you may wish to check out the Negima Magic World OVAs.

SHAFT saw the traversity that is the first Negima! anime, and saw fit to strip it down and inject as much insanity and comedy as possible for a remake.

Main Description

Negi Springfield is a wizard who has been assigned to be a school teacher for Mahora School as part of his training. Sound familiar? Negima!? follows the same basic plot from the Negima! manga (and, by association, the anime by the same name). The characters are the same, with Negi still being surrounded by a plethora of female students.

But that's where the similarities end. With almost complete focus on random humor, Negima!? is a fresh take on a preexisting setting with an enormous injection of comedy and a much more polished look.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a SHAFT adaptation of the Negima franchise. In a good way. Lots of pretty colors, chupacabras, head tilting, and sharp, almost surreal wit. Dj Meow Mix
