Essentially a short retelling of classic Mazinger Z stories, but with of course the titular machine taking over for the original Mazinger Z. Not necessarily ambitious, it's still an enjoyable enough OVA for fans of the Mazinger series. Admittedly, I saw it after Shin Mazinger Shock! Z Epic, so my opinion is a little colored by the fact that it's not as great as the most recent remake. If you want more Mazinger, this is the place to get it.
