Personal Opinions

Edge Zero

I started reading this because I had thought I heard it was one of those crazy shocking what the fuck kind of mangas. It started out interesting, leaving me with many questions about what was going on. It had a creepy pedo vibe to it but the background story seemed interesting so I ignored that aspect. Some cool violence happens and then the plot tries to be all mysterious and not answer anything, and that creepy pedo thing started happening again and it ends.

Horrible nonsense. It wins no points out of ten.

Kubla Khan

A couple of cool ideas crippled by an overall lack of coherency and lack of detail. It's clear that the author could think of interesting things to say and draw but didn't have the skill or the patience to weave it all into something greater than the sum of its parts. As it is, it feels like it should have been at least twice as long to take the stories that it started to a fulfilling conclusion.
