A comedy, but half the time the punchlines don't make you laugh as much as cringe and despair. The writing is smart and snappy, and the Anime captures the manga perfectly. Izumi Kitta, the voice actress for Tomoko, does an amazing job.

Sum it up in a Sentence:

Some girl thought she would be popular in school by being good at dating sim games, and gets to face reality.

Main Description

The full name of the series actually being Watashi ga Motenai no wa dō Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! (No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys' Fault I’m Not Popular!), Tomoko Kuroki is a straight up nerd who thought that by playing and studying her favorite dating sim/otome games, she would learn to be popular and get a boyfriend when she starts high school. Facing the (obvious) truth when her term starts, Tomoko continues plodding through life wondering how to fix her mess of a life and trying to improve her social status. Cringe-worthy comedy ensues.

A comedy, but half the time the punchlines don't make you laugh as much as cringe and despair. The writing is smart and snappy, and the Anime captures the manga perfectly. Izumi Kitta, the voice actress for Tomoko, does an amazing job.
