When I first started watching this series I couldn't shake the feeling that I was watching a kid's show, but by the end I didn't even care. I might just be a sap for any type of Swiss Family Robinson stranded-on-a-desert-something type story, but I really enjoyed this show. New plot elements were continually introduced when existing ones started to feel stale, and by the end the series had stretched into an epic 52 episode story with tons of character development, drama, and mystery / sci-fi elements. Definitely give it a watch if you like that sort of thing and / or have some time to burn.

Description

In the 22nd century space travel and planet colonization have become commonplace. While traveling on a space transport for a school field trip an accident results in the transfer student Luna, her pet robot-cat Chako, and six of her classmates being thrown through a gravity storm and crash landing on a seemingly uninhabited planet. Together with shy Sharla, obedient Bell, arrogant Howard, loner Kaoru, lofty Menori, and brainy Shingo they must work together in order to survive until they are rescued... but is the planet really as uninhabited as it seems?
