Main Description
Retro and Pandy awaken in a field one night to find that they have lost their memories. Being hungry and without any clothes, they enter the city and proceed to go on a massive crime spree that ends with them being arrested and sent to a prison on the moon called Dead Leaves. Shortly afterwards, they organize a prison break. The rest of the film details their conflict against the two super-powerful mutant prison guards and the mysterious warden of the prison.

Dead Leaves is an amazing showcase for Hiroyuki Imaishi's unique style of animation and direction. The story and characters are hilariously ridiculous from beginning to end. While the art can be rather crude at points, the outstanding action scenes, hilarious character designs and writing, and briskly paced animation make Dead Leaves a must see.
