Main Description
Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, an ability which he has kept secret due to the skepticism and reprisals it caused in his youth. One day, he finds a strange book among deceased grandmother's possessions. He finds out that not only did she posses the same ability, but that she had collected these spirits as a sort of army of "friends" by binding their names to her with the book, forcing their servitude. With the help of a boastful cat spirit which he nicknames Nyanko, Natsume sets out to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts.

Fluffy relaxing little anime about a kid who can see spirits and he decides to help them along the way. There's a lot of character development and interesting story. 5/5
Clanpot Shake
Kind of a combination of Mushishi and Bleach (sans draw-out fight scenes). Enjoyable and relaxing. There is a second season under the title 'Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou' which goes deeper into the supporting cast.
