Weed, the son of [[Ginga Nagareboshi Gin|Gin]], begins to seek out his family legacy at the tender age of barely a year old. In doing so, he becomes embroiled in the defense of Ohu, the dog paradise his father helped to create, and must gather an army of his own to prevent its conquest.

Shockingly, while it is the sequel to a distinctly bad (if hilarious) show, I actually legitimately enjoyed Weed. It's basically a samurai drama, except that everyone involved is a dog. It's not perfect, and it's not really high art, but it is competent shounen and it's really worth a watch.
