==Sum it up in a Sentence:==
Generic 16 year old Shirahama Kenichi becomes the new disciple of the toughest dojo in the world, Ryouzanpaku, and finds himself caught up in a conflict of good, evil and wacky martial arts.

==Main Description==
Shirahama Kenichi was an ordinary high school student until he met Furinji Miu, the youngest member of the dojo, Ryouzanpaku. In an effort to impress her and improve himself, he joins it and inadvertently signs himself to some of the most hellish training imaginable. Teaching at this dojo are five powerful masters, all supreme at their chosen art. Kenichi is trained by Sakaki Shio, the 100th Dan master of Karate, Ma Kensei, a perverted master of Kenpo, Koetsuji Akisame, an acclaimed artist and master of Jujitsu, Kosaka Shigure, the weapons master of few words, and Hopachai Apachai, a childlike Muay Thai practitioner. Presiding over the dojo is Furinji Hayato, Miu's grandfather and also known as "The Invincible Superman".

Soon after, Kenichi winds up in conflict with a group known as Ragnarok, a powerful group of young martial artists that fight for control of his city.

==Personal Opinions==
===Dj Meow Mix===
This is probably my favorite manga series ever made. The characters are lovable, the fights are dynamic and insane and the comedy is excellent. It sets the bar for shounen manga for me. Matsuena has really improved his style over the years, and his drawing clearly show the devastating impact of many of the fights. Perhaps my only gripe with the manga is that over the years, the fanservice has become more and more of a focal point, but I suppose this is to be expected.

The anime is a pretty great adaptation of the first arc of the series.
