Sum it up in a Sentence:
Two immortals search for a way to become mortal again. Mostly they find monsters, or horrible people who want to gain immortality for themselves.
Main Description
According to legend, eating the flesh of a mermaid grants one eternal life. In Mermaid Saga, that legend is true...partially. Only very few ever become immortal, while most who consume the mermaid's flesh either die horribly or transform into an undying monster known as a Lost Soul.
Five hundred years ago Yuta gained immortality, but after watching everyone he knew grow old and die he resolved to find another mermaid in hopes of becoming a normal human again. Centuries later, Yuta rescued a girl named Mana from a remote village and discovered that she too was an immortal. Now the two of them travel together, encountering savage Lost Souls, people who would do anything to obtain the mermaid's flesh, and the occasional face from Yuta's past.
