[[Image:chumhuau.jpg|thumb|Chum Huau]] This is a fairy tale, I mean literally. There are fairies all over, and the cavalry rides on unicorns. It's pretty awesome, I can't remember a time where the story was plodding, and several times the stakes are upped to a degree I had not expected. As a note, ADV dropped the ball pretty hard, and if you want to find the last volumes on DVD, good luck.

Shou Zama and his motorcycle are magically plucked from our world of Upper Earth, and dropped into Byston Wells, a fantasia parallel world between the sea and shore.

Drake Luft, the one who arranged for Shou's abduction, plans to unite all of Byston Wells beneath his rule. The cutting edge in this campaign are Aura Battlers, robots which resemble insects, powered by life force, also known as aura.

Rebel forces gather against Drake, and must obtain their own Aura Battlers in order to stand a chance. As the series progresses, Shou discovers the extent of his aura power, and the battlefield changes drastically, making the war even more grave then first anticipated.
