Sum it up in a Sentence:

Scantily clad lady fights monsters and other scantily clad ladies to save her daughter.

Main Description

"Sought by the greed of men since the dawn of human kind, but only bestowed upon the women whose fate it forever scars... The Witchblade. Is it the righteous sword of God? Or hand of the Devil himself? Now a new bearer has been chosen. And she must discover the answers for herself. As she stands on the brink of destiny, she is forced to seek the balance between ecstasy and ruin."

A remake of the western comic series by Dark Horse, Witchblade remakes the universe into a new story. At the focal point is Amaha Masane, a woman with amnesia after the events of "The Great Quake" which ravaged Japan 6 years previous. She was found with an infant in her arms, which she took as her daughter, and named Amaha Rihoko. After being attacked by a monster while jailed, the jewel on Masane's wrist transforms into the Witchblade, which overtakes her and destroys the monster. Now, Masane and her daughter are caught in a struggle between groups attempting to take the Witchblade and use its powers for more sinister purposes.

Personal Opinions

Witchblade... impossible to watch, I tried, really did, 4 episodes in I skipped ahead in the batch to the last episode that I ended up skiming through anyway, so bad, so boring... so, so gonzo typical. Sticking to the comics, warding others away from this show as well, it's so fuck-slow.

Not my favorite series, but I did manage to finish it, so I guess that's saying something. The visuals and fights are pretty solid, as are the plot surprisingly as it goes on. However the series suffers from well, abusing the fanservice quota and rather poor pacing.
