A nice short 45 minute OVA which was pretty entertaining. The music was fitting and the characters with what little screen time they got were all likable. What stood out to me though was the mechs, power armor I love power armor, Legaciam itself and Zeno's armor reminded me of the suits in Uchu no Senshi crossed with aura battlers from Dunbine only a bit thinner. The cast was good, heard a lot of really familiar voices. I would have liked to see a sequel to see where they were going with the whole fix the tower/sun mirror/people going nuts thing. 7/10

I recently watched Relic Armour Legaciam and thought it was very much a case of wasted potential or a second part that never came. They set up an interesting setting (a planet whose weather is controlled by satellites and mirrors) with a social divide that's interesting (you've got mega-cities for the rich and a more fantasy-like setting for the working class) with good mech designs that sort of mix Patlabor and Dunbine, and then it all falls apart with a very open ending and little resolution for the plot.

I would have liked another 30 minutes or so on the OVA to make it into a full-length movie, or a second episode to tie up the importance of going into the desert (the essential plot is "scientist finds experimental mech which can survive desert conditions, and it's mysteriously a perfect fit for his daughter. He is then kidnapped and needs rescuing.")

Unfortunately only a 6/10 for this because it was so lacking in resolution.
