IShallRiseAgain
This series is pretty great. I don't want to spoil the plot for those who haven't read it, but the story is well paced and the narrative develops at a natural rate. It slowly builds towards something and doesn't just dive right into things, which is ultimately for the better. The story keeps things mysterious, but also isn't afraid to give answers.
The characters are fairly well-developed and they are relatively unique.
This manga is also pretty interesting if you compare it the TV show Twin Peaks, which explores similar themes and has some similar plot elements. It gives a Japanese perspective on the ideas in Twin Peaks and its interesting to see how someone from Japan would interpret them.
