Main Description
Told primarily from the point of view of young Mirai, she and her brother Yuki travel alone to the city to see a robot exhibition and then must try to make their way back home after an earthquake wreaks havoc upon the area. They soon meet up with a motorcycle courier named Mari and together they face a variety of obstacles from injuries to aftershocks on their journey home.

Mo_Steel
While at first the protagonist is a fairly unlikeable whiner, seeing her overcome the many problems in her way along with her brother and others becomes quite moving. The series is short but never really feels rushed, and the conclusion is very well done.

Tokyo Magnitude is one of the best animes I've seen. I can't really think of anything it did wrong. Great storytelling, great animations and especially the character development is remarkable. It was so good that I just couldn't stop watching and finished it all in one night. If there's something I'd have to criticize it's probably that I didn't like the OP song all that much, but in return the ED song is phenomenal and is definitely among the top 5 songs in animes.
Oh, and this is the only show I've ever seen that has actually made me shed some tears (I'm a baby though and tear up at a lot of stuff). Even Grave of the Fireflies wasn't as depressing for me. Definitely watch this.
