Sum it up in a Sentence
In an alternate history where magic was proven to exist in the year 1899, an unlicensed rogue sorcerist named Rayotte Steinberg must help in the fight against Demons; magic users who have fallen victim to an invisible contaminant known as the "curse" and transformed into malevolent abominations of nature.
Main Description
When magic was proven to exist in the year 1899 the use of sorcery improved almost every aspect of society, from agriculture to medicine, and the Magic Administration Bureau was established to regulate its use. This change came at a price however, as regular users of magic are susceptible to an invisible contaminant known as the "curse", which transforms them into malevolent abominations that are impervious to ordinary weapons. The only people able to defeat these Demons are special agents of the Bureau, known as tactical sorcerists, who do battle with steam powered railguns, cartridges of magic, and suits of armor known as strait jackets that constrain them in their human form. The story follows one particular rogue and unlicensed tactical sorcerist named Rayotte Steinberg as he does battle with both Demons and the sins of his past.

When I started watching this series I felt it had a ton of potential, with the steampunk meets magic setting from Fullmetal Alchemist and the powerful sorcerers and spells from Nanoha, however it fell kind of flat, probably mostly because it was too short. Three 26 minute OVAs isn't really much time to establish anything, especially the characters, and as a result they seemed uninteresting and their motivations were not very clear. Everything else such as the visuals and music are good, however I would only rate this series as slightly above average. I will say however that it made me Really want to track down and read the manga; the setting and backstory sound fascinating and I would like to see more of it.
