Main Description
Dr. Saotome needs powerful men to pilot his new anti-Oni combat machine, the Getter Robo. To this end, he recruits martial artist Ryoma Nagare, terrorist Hayato Jin and monk Benkei Musashibo (a fusion of Benkei and Musashi from the original Getter Robo series.) Together, they form the Getter team and combat the menacing Oni.

Dj Meow Mix
This isn't my favorite Getter Robo series, that position probably belongs to Armageddon. However that doesn't stop this series from being ridiculously badass. If you're interested in Getter Robo, this is probably the place to start. It's fast and furious. The JAM Project opening, DRAGON, is pretty awesome. The animation is solid, and the combat is par for the course in recent Getter series. That is to say, brutal and awesome.
