− | Giant Robo has some of the most over the top, action-packed fight scenes in anime yet the mecha are almost an afterthought when you have such an awesome cast of super-powered heroes and villians. The pacing can get a little slow and the director (Imagawa) loves to throw a number of curveballs at the viewer, but a lot of the build-up pays off admirably, the soundtrack is great and the story is epic in scope while still managing to remain quite poignant in the end. Definitely one of my personal favorites.
