Main Description
Akuto Sai seems like a perfect good-guy at first: orphan raised in a church, top of his class, going to a prestigious magical academy and even makes friends with a lovely magic ninja girl on his first day. However, when he goes in front of the Sorting Hat/vocational crow, the bird declares that Akuto is destined to become the next Maou, or Demon King.
As you might expect, the news of this finding spreads around the school like wildfire. The majority of the students at the school either fear him or hate him, so Akuto tries to do what he can to convince his classmates and himself that he won't become the next Demon King. However, every action he takes just digs that metaphorical hole deeper. Meanwhile, a handful of girls with wildly different hair colors--from a robotic private detective to the aforementioned magic ninja--all get closer to him, with their own reasons for wanting to see whether or not he will become the Maou.

Kleptobot
I feel this show could have been so much better than it was. The premise was good, the male lead was not a good-natured idiot, and the girls that gather around him do not just love him unconditionally like in other harem-esque shows. However, it seems that when word went out that there wouldn't be any more than these 12 episodes, the creators of this show just rocketed through the plot at break-neck speed. Anything that might have been relevant to the story was cut, summarized, or popped up seemingly out of nowhere, making me think this show was more for fans of the light novels/manga that I have not read yet. On top of that, the gratuitous fanservice shoved in my face throughout the series really seemed tacked on and forced in light of the story.
Having said that, I found myself liking what this show did choose to animate. I never thought I'd say this about any anime, but I wish Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou had more episodes so that they could have expanded on the plot a bit more and made the fight scenes a tiny bit longer.
