Based on a long running series of light novels, the anime is largely episodic in nature. Kino and her motorcycle Hermes travel around the world spending just three days and two nights in every town they visit. The stories revolve around the strange people and cities they encounter.

Personal Opinions
Grenadier
A laid back series with cleverly presented Aesop's in fantastical cities from ep to ep. Loved the atmosphere and thoughtful nature of the show. An all around good watch and easy recommendation to make.
Unpronounceable
When I first watched this a year ago, it rekindled my interest in anime. Kino and Hermes make a very likeable pair, and play off of each other well. Kino is often somewhat philosophical, and it really adds to the whole aesthetic of the show. I wish I were better able to articulate why I like the show so much, but instead, I'll just recommend giving it the three episode test. If you decide that you like those, you're in for a treat.
Mors Rattus
I'm not sure what I expected going into this, but I definitely got a really good show. And a really sad one. I definitely wasn't expecting the consistent gut punches the show provided, especially since there was usually only one episode to get to know most of the cast other than Kino and Hermes. It's a great, if short show, and I really enjoyed it.
