Sum it up in a Sentence

A manga that started off as a series of shorts but somehow got serialized. The main casts involve a mangaka, a robot, and the jokster pair. Literally the entire series is about their daily lives in high school as a series of jokes.

Main Description

Following the traditions of having main female casts for a high school based slice of life comic series, the author attempt to capture jokes that one would think not possible in real world situations. The main characters Mio, Yuuko, and Mai are relatively normal students in a relatively abnormal school. There are a few subtle plots like Nano wanting to blend into society, a love-hate relationship between two side characters and the ongoing joke war between the 3 main characters.

Mio is the most normal character who likes to draw manga but hides it. Yuuko and Mai are the comic duo that livens up the story line, where Yuuko plays the core instigator for most issues/jokes she depend on Mai's response and follow through for success. On the side there is also Nano the robot girl and her Professor who made her, and the weapon wielding girl with her obvious roamntic interest in the royalty imitating male student.

Overall the story is a continuous chain of jokes and stories that makes one wonder how did this end up as a serialization, but in light doses the manga turns out to be quiet amusing.

Personal Opinions

Dr. Jackal

Literally half the jokes in the manga are a joke. The manga caught my eye because of the deer in the front page which prompted me to read the sample and after trying to stifle some smiles I bought the book. Like most of Slice-of-Life books there is no main point to the book and I think anyone who is looking for a clear storyline is going to be disappointed about 4 pages in.

The story begins with Nano exploding.
