It's juvenile, Love Hina does the comedy better and the art hasn't aged well compared to some contemporary series. Why read this then? A confession happens in the first volume. A large portion is spent on the main characters' goals in life they want to achieve, and how relationships can affect their future. And the author had the audacity to choose a 'winner' at the end of the series, a rairty for this genre. However, some fans were not impressed. Throughout the many anime forums at the time, multiple threads were created discussing why the authour was wrong and who should have ended up with the MC and why they were 'meant' to be together. These threads lasted years, tallying into the hundreds of pages. I wouldn't be suprised if the ending is still being discussed now on some sites. Personally I found the conclusion and epilogue very satisfying. It makes me nolgastic just thinking about it.
