Sum it up in a Sentence:
A young girl saves a strange cat, and ends up drawn into a magical world full of cats.
Main Description
Haru is a typical high school girl: not super bright or talented, and a bit clumsy and lazy. After saving a strange cat from being hit by a car, her sleepy life is turned upside-down. A delegation of talking cats inform her that she saved their prince, and the King wants to give her the honor of marrying the prince and becoming princess. Not thrilled with the idea of being a cat, Haru enlists the aide of The Baron, a stylish cat statue, and his friends, fellow statue Toto and a fat white cat called Muta.

You're here, so I assume you like anime, and from there, I assume you like cats. I thusly conclude that you will love this movie. It's cute, creative, and looks great. While it's not the deepest or most action-packed movie, it's a great little caper, and the brisk pace keeps things moving right along to their conclusion before the admittedly thin concept can overstay its welcome. My only complaints are that it is a tad short for my liking, and that the "believe in yourself" moral at the end of the movie feels pretty shoe-horned in. Still, one of my favorite Ghibli movies, and I say that as a totally objective person living with four cats.
